Hi all!!!

I have a question.. it's true that if you install a 007P into a chipped car you must change the spring to the yellow spring of the forge valve tuning kit? It's true?

I have a Forge 004 BOV but I can't get it to work fine... I can feel how the car lose boost at high rpm. I decided today to remove that ****ing valve ('cause yesterday night I have a run with a 206 GTI and I can't get it... :-o ) and put again the stock bosch DV. I've ordered a Forge 007P DV and I want to know if I have to change the stock spring of the valve... 'cause a friend of mine told me that maybe I must change it for the yellow spring.

Can any1 help me?

Thanks in advance! :D.

You don't have to, it's not essential.

I've changed mine to the yellow spring and there's a small but noticable difference in response times when changing gear at high RPMs.

I've recentley had my cupra r revo'd and am running the forge split recirc/dump valve, i have been reading other threads and am still bit confused? do i need to get any spring (yellow) to change/upgrade for mine or is it good how it is? also i'm looking to relocate the DV to the cool side of the engine, i'm currently running my boost gauge from it, so if i relocate it can i still run my boost gauge from it there? it may be a stupid question or frequently asked but just need to check and find out once and for all! if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

the green spring is fine.

there are and have been people on here running very high levels of boost on green springs without issue. Certainly higher boost than you are running.
Badger on here is well respected running very modified cars and recommends the green spring.

If you do go stronger then yellow would most likely be ok.
Anyone suggesting stronger still is offering duff advice in my opinion, after all you want the DV to operate quickly when required.

uh guys, sean (the guy who reopened this thread) appears to have the splitter valve (i think), not the 007. no need to change the spring on that, just adjust the number of turns accordingly.
