Guys, just tried to fit a Forge 007 to my LCR - could I get the bottom hose to go on?, could I hell[:@] - is it supposed to be that tight? - starting to wonder if I`ve been sent the wrong kit - it is just a direct replacement for the old one? - also, what is the nipple on the top of the dv for, is there meant to be a pipe on there? - anyhow, I`ve stuck the old one back on and now thinking about taking it to Star Performance. Does anyone have a photo of there engine bay so I can see how it should look?. Thanks a lot guys.

it should fit the same as the stock one.

yes there should be a pipe attached to the small top one.
its the same as what was attached the the stock dv.

the bottom and side pipes should be 20-21mm internal diameter and 26-27mm outside diameter.

they take a bit of easing on but should be too difficult

If you have got the pipes off it should be easier to get them back on, this is what I found (maybe me pipes are slack'n), maybe you had a few beers last night and you are feeling weak :cartman:

you will need a small jubilee clip for the top nipple hose, halfords matey

lots of people dont have a clip for the top pipe. they dont tend to pop off.

ive just done mine this morning
hardest bit was getting awkward 1-use clips off, old d/v came out with a bit of yorkshire persuation

putting in new d/v was just reversal of removal, mine went easily into the bottom hose but was a fight to get into the side hose.

top hose was stiff to reconnect and is held on with 2 zip ties at the moment, they seem to be holding but ive been and got some fuel clips-going to call past chavfords tomorrow to see if i can get these clips a few have mentionned

www.leoncupra.co.uk has pics of the engine bay with d/v fitted

I think the top pipe is a vacuum anyway, so its sucking that pipe down onto itself. The other pipes are the ones that will come off if not properly secured.

Yuo are fitting it in the right place aren't you? The Forge looks very similar to the stock one (except the Forge is ally, rather than plastic) - so your standard one should also have a pipe sticking out of the top.

If your standard one has a larger diameter and no pipe at the top, you're looking in the wrong place - that's a different thing altogether.

Told you I was useless! - looked like it to me at the time - think its the oil breather (black, round plastic) I took off and then proceeded to lose the plot trying to get the forge to go in :censored: - what a muppet:rolleyes:  .
