Footwell LED Install in Seat Ibiza ST – Power & Cable Routing Ideas?

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to install a set of USB-powered, Bluetooth-controlled RGB footwell lights (four strips) in my Seat Ibiza ST 2011, but I’m running into some challenges with power and cable management.

  • Power Source: The kit is designed to plug into USB, and my Ibiza has a built-in USB port inside the center console. However, I’m considering cutting off the USB connector and wiring it to a fuse instead for a cleaner setup. Has anyone done this before? If so, which fuse would be best to tap into?
  • Cable Management: The Ibiza doesn’t have a ton of plastic trim or channels to easily tuck wires into. What’s the best way to conceal the cables for a clean look while keeping everything safe from seat movement and foot traffic?
I’d love to see how others have done similar installs! Any tips, photos, or suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Type of light source: LED lights
Operating voltage: ≤36V
Size of cables: (120cm x 2) and (170cm x 2)
