Fooling the Tyre Pressure Warning System?

I have an 07 plate Seat Leon with the BTCC bodykit and 18" alloys / tyres.

On the first real trip away in it I got a puncture, the tyre pressure warning thingy went off. I got the puncture fixed and reset the button / system.

I have had two subsequent alarms go off in nearly 6,000 miles of motoring. However both times was on the same stretch of road, going to a mates house. Checked the pressures when I got there and they were all as on the fuel filler cap. Reset the button / system and have carried on driving with no further alarms.

I know the system relies on the speed difference between the wheels rather than actual pressures, but it seems this one road can fool the car?!

It's a 4 mile section of dual carriageway which is almost on a perfect right hand curve of a single radius for the majority of the route.

I guess the very slight difference in speed between the nearside and offside wheels sets the system off.

Anyone else had this?

Had the same problem on a Renault Laguna on a road to Bath the light would come on and only on that road going one way go anyware else and the "fault" would disappear - put it down to too many curves lh/rh???!!!?****
