i know fuse 10 on the fuseboard is associated with front and rear foglights, however! if bolted in my foglights and fitted the cprrect switch, now it is amatter of finding the foglight loom which i think i have found by the battery...and finding out if i have to install a relay on the fuseboard in order for the foglights to work!

if anyone can email me a diagram or send me a link i would be extremely greatful!!!

whilst i have haynes with me, i can tell you where to wire it up to on the switch if you like?
if youve already got the wires from the switch, then you need to splice into the WHITE AND YELLOW wire for the positive and the BROWN wire for the negative.
Hope this is of some use

well, i persumed that when ibizas are make there is one universal wire loom that is installed....so..my action has been to replace the light switch from the 1.4 with only rear foglight ability switch to a cupra switch that utilises both front and rear fogs....so i have switch ed the swithces, both have the same number of connectors...i have bolted in the fogs and when i look in under the bonnet the only free wire is to the right of the battery...which i presume is the foglight loom... now ...my old man seems to think that fitting a relay would make this wire active....as currently it is only feeding the rear fogs.....what do you think

if the loom is standard it will have a connector each side right by the back of the foglamp (by the horn on passenger side) behind the bumper itself

one wires brown/white i think - i'll go check in a sec

thats the one- splits right by the front corner of the battery

on the drivers side the loom runs through a clip but the rear of the indicator and heads down the inner wing

afaik the power is from fuse 10 for the switch assy and the switch itself contains the relay ?

on the rear of the switch

(83a) is the front fogs (white/yellow)
(83b) is the rear (grey/yellow)

NB- fogs will only power up with main headlights on mind and ignition i think but mine are disconnected so ill have to check tomorrow

if your connector has black/yellow +ve its the horn wiring iirc

ahh quality, i will have to check it tomorrow now as its raining here, so il pull out the switch and check the connectors that youve stated, then i will locate the drivers side wire for the fogs, check again for a live connection and see what happens...my only concern is that i had it all plugged in tonight and i couldnt get a live connection from the wire on the passengers side which is why my old man felt that i needed a relay on the fuseboard located under the steering wheel

when i get back from work 2morro ill pull me switch out and check the colours/power etc for ya (pics)

someone with a car thats not in pieces may confirm the lights/ignition theory in the meantime as mine has no fogs in anyway at present - sorry

I had oem fogs fitted to my old ibiza, they were wired directly to the existing rear foglight switch and took power from the battery iirc no other relays added. They were connected to the existing switch as I wouldnt use the front fogs alone, dont want to look a knob did I!
