Fog light compatability

Hello everyone! I recently got my licence and treated myself to a nice mk1 Leon 2001. It was a great deal, however the fog light on the left side (right one if you are looking at the front of the car) is busted. The plastic got broken at some point and it is covered with a piece of plastic sheet. Since its a pre-face model i wanted to ask if it is possible to use FR or Cupra fog lights on an original face like mine?

Pretty sure they all used the oval unit, Valeo part number 67742840.
The R used the circular lamp.

Keep in mind that the Toledo from the same era uses the same foglights. I had to replace my unit because of a broken lens and used one from a Toledo. eBay or breakers usually have them - they don't tend to go wrong all that often - it's more they're damaged in collisions or stuff from the road hitting them. Once the glass cracks, water and other stuff can get in and that causes them to fail.
