Driving to work this morning and noticed that my temperature guage wasnt registering. As i was stuck at an accident for a few mins it start to rise from then on it was slowly moving hot to cold and vis versa eventually settling in the middle.
im thinking it might be the sender any one had this problem.

Let me know how you get on - I need to get mine sorted - may just take it back to the stealer though - only had the thing a week and it's going back anyway as I have a swimming pool in the rear footwell :)

I had the same problem a couple of years ago mine was the temperature sender unit.
Make sure you get the right one as there a few different one's.I think they are different colours for different temps.
Check with your dealer first before getting one.

Definately your temp sender - I changed mine (from the green one) to a black one - sorted the problem! It is a common problem apparently!

Don't let the stealer charge you for fitting - DIY (it's a 2 min job - just do it when the engine is cold!)

It's a different sender for the gauge than the "green top" (G61) one. The one for the gaug is in the thermostat housing I think, dealer did mine.
