Flippy key

Hello

I am surching for a folding key for my tdi topsport, but as i have found on the board it seems pretty costly, Is it possible to use the original key blade so I only need to order the remote part of the key and no new key blade?

Thanks

I think the blade has to have the hinge on that attaches to the fob. Its part of the mechanism I think.

keep your eyes on ebay, as i picked a new one up last week for £30 with a blank blade, and it came with programing instructions, so just need to get it cut tomorrow.

would'nt pay the £100 seat want though for one through them.

Yeah, you can but the keys blank from ebay for about £20 so the cost is really only cutting and programming. I was thinking about getting another one done so let me know if you get any prices for the work from a dealer?

Heres the ebay link: http://tinyurl.com/akyjh

probably get my mate to get it done at the dealers for me, think its about £20. programing can be done yourself if you follow the instructions.

I was thinking of using the key blade of my spare key, its a fob key without remote, I never use it so i can save a few pounds on that, but I don't know if it is possible to do, and what is the price for only the remote part

I have searched ebay but there are no flippy keys for sale

Thanks

AS FR rush already said, if its a normal key fob, then the blades are different. it won''t the the flip key.

ok, now i understand, my english is not that good, i have found some keys on ebay, but they are for a vw golf mk4, it also works on 434Mhz and it looks the same, so i suspect it is the same,

@ Ant FR: How did you check the frequency of youre original key
