Flip Style Key for Facelift Ibiza FR

Hi guys, Second posting on the site. Sorry if its already covered, tried a search and couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know if I can get the Flip style Keys to work with the new facelift Ibiza FR? Dealership didn't have a clue, and they wanted £75 to buy a key in, but couldn't guarantee it would work.

Also if it will work can anyone help with somewhere to get them cheap and how to prog them?

Hi, and welcome to the mayhem

in answer to the above, i'm doing it atm, so it is possible

Flip keys are available on e-bay, i paid £26 for mine.
Laser cutting cost a fiver, and coding is gonna cost me a tenner.

The problem comes from the immobiliser chip. the ones in the flip keys are different to the beeza ones.

To overcome it, b@stardise the spare key, remove the chip, and use it to replace the one in the flip key

Seems a bit or a pain having to rip the old one apart to make the new one work.....

But I wanna flippy key

but then you end up with a flip key, and a remote. Just split the standard spare key that no-one ever uses

new chip etc will be put in at Donny in the South meet on 13th august
