FLI SWAT 5 dead?

Just got one of these head units - but it's dead, will not switch on at all? It appears to have power as the eject button it lit, but it won't turn on? Plug my Pioneer unit back in and it works fine, so is the FLI faulty straight out the box?

Any ideas?

usually red/yellow for perm/ignition

according to fli swat 3 manual red=acc / yellow=perm live

i would check 100% with a multimeter for power first then earth all on the right pins just in case

my dvd player had similar on first install but the src was on dvd and i hadn't rigged up the handbrake signal - had to get it all the right way round before it would work proper

try the src button or even sticking a (old) cd in it ?
