flat spot between 3000-4000 revs

been ongoing for sometime now, just got it back from the garage who removed codes, but couldnt find anything wrong. drove it home and its still the same. car used to boost lovely at around 3000 revs but now has a major flat spot between 3000-4000 revs and then picks up.

wanting to fix this problem asap as im taking the car on a trip down to newquay boardmasters festival on friday

has anyone had this problem before?

common issues:
split pipe on pcv/vacuum system around inlet manifold
tired maf
malfunctioning n75
coil packs (misfire)

you need access to vagcom (www.ross-tech.com) and some logs or find your local vag specialist

you say removed codes..
what were they?

mine felt like it was holding back, a bit like a flat spot, I'd had it for months, wasn't untill I logged the maf I noticed it was reading 90 g/s max lol been fine since I bought a new genuine maf

But not a truer word.... Vagcom is your friend
