Right, started the Ibiza after 2 months and got it off the trailer. Thought I give it a good run this afternoon before it goes off to Saxon Motorsport BUT... wouldn't start, bit damp wd-40'd everything wiped them clean and started but misfiring when I drove it found out that one of the leads weren't on tidy (after I had a shock)

Stopped misfiring :D

Now the question to the problem I'm having..... the handbrake light is randomly flashing on and off when I'm driving it.

Checked the handbrake switch all looked okay but removed it anyway and still flashing so thinking it shows up when the brake fluid is low checked that and it's on the "max" so removed the switch on it.

Expected to either stay on or just go off BUT yet again it's flashing!!!!

Does the sensors for the ABS flash up the hand brake light? Would have thought the ABS light would flash up that problem.... trust me to be at my parents house when the laptop with vag com is at mine [:@]

Anymore idea's???

this is slightly related to your problem but my handbrake light will not show on dash have tried changing the bulb and the switch is fine could it be something to do with the brake fluid sensor?

Well I've fixed it! (Don't know how tho)

Took my laptop over with me this time, did a scan with the VAG Com and all was happy. Did a Output Test on the brakes using the software and all was okay!

After yesterday the battery was dead of course so charged it up over night and fitted it today the car started first go WOOHOO!

Took it for a spin and no light flashed :)

Haven't a clue whats changed about from the battery having some juice. And went to nail it on my lil test drive at 5k and misfired and also just when I go to pull off for that stupid ignation coil pack is on it's way out!

4th one gone in 5 years of owning the car, glad that thing is going soon and having a nice Ford Coilpack and dim dizzy :D
