Fitting Lambda Probes

When fitting a new lambda probe into an exhaust, should the thread be coated with anything to help it seal/stop it seizing e.g. FireGum ?

It should already have the correct coating.

You must not use anything else as there are a load of chemicals that will destroy the sensor. Silicones and copper being two of them.

so what about if you are not fitting a lambda probe and just putting a blanking bolt in the hole?

you can use a little smear of copper slip on the thread only on eather a blank or a probe just make sure it dosent get in to the sensor its self
