Fitting air filter after the airbox

Hey all,
Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes!!

Im thinking about adding a performance air filter to my Ibiza for which ill need to remove the airbox completely and fit it onto the inlet manifold (i think).

Would it be possible for me to take the panel filter out of the airbox and then to add the new cone filter to the cold feed pipe that comes out of the airbox?

Hi mate some people have added a custom air filter to there ibizas and removed the original air box, what model do you have

Replace the standard paper air filter element with a Pipercross one. They're made of a special oiled foam and last forever, just need an annual wipe off of leaves, flies, etc. You keep the standard airbox which protects the filter and retains the cars originality.
