Fitting a Savage universal back box

Does anyone know if I would need to make any extra modifications to fit one of these?

Any recommendations for a decent back box for my mk1 leon 1.6 that won't cost much more than £100?

Cheers in advance! :D

Yeah but I spose that's to be expected really..
Its just that I've heard of stories that extra piping maybe required on some cars to get round fuel tanks and things like that.
I'll go and have a look under the car.
Cheers for the advice mate :D

You may well need extra stuff as the actual rear box is pretty long.......could be a lot of messing about.

Do they not do a direct replacement?

I spose I could try and get a cupra r back box..
Presumably that would fit okay?

Probably not :(
I'll have to find somewhere to be a custom one
Have you done anything with your exhaust?
Wondering if you could recommend anywhere cos I'm just up the road in Norfolk

You would probably be best going for a custom stainless steel one. You can choose your tail pipe and how loud/quiet you want it. Expect to pay about 80-100 for a custom backbox. Don't go for universal as there is far too much f**king about to do.

I'm Beccles area so nearly in Norfolk.....I have got a full turbo back stainless system waiting to go on but unfortunatly they cost more than your £100 budget.

What about going to SCA? they sell universal exhausts and can fit them? They can prob get you a proper one for your car to.

I bought a powerflow middle box for 40 quids, then had a local exhaust place weld it all together with a 3inch 90 degree stealth exit, so you cannot see the exhaust.

Its not too loud, completely stealth, passed MOT and was £75 all in!!

I haven't got a cut out, an I'd just paid to have a towbar cut out plastic welded up, so wasn't gonna cut it again!!

So being as the standard was stealth and a twin swept pipe, so was the aftermarket!!

Each to their own!
