Fitted me BMC. Is this a good setup?

Shame I never got any pics of the fabricating that went into this, it was a fun one.........that used to be a flat piece of sheet metal, roled, shaped, welded, blended, bent.....got this...

I took a outline of the MAF sensor pipe, cut that of sheet metal. Got some more sheet metal and roled a piece of thin flat bar to 80mm...then sheet metal was then roled around that and welded to it. That gave it a very snug fit over the BMC outlet.

Next was getting the angle, took the angle. Then cut a section out of the 80mm pipe I just made...then bent it down till it closed the gap, welded up and then blended in. Welded backing plate on other end were it fixes onto the MAF. Then cut some inch pipe off, drilled 1 inch hole in 80mm pipe, welded on, that was for the seperate air intake.

Quick polish, and fitted :D

Very pleased with the outcome, considering what it was in the first place. Just going to go out now and give it a run out see what the difference is :) And I need a cold air feed on it [B)]

I have the BMC, induction/recirc noise is greatly increased as air echoes in the carbon shield. Fitting the cold air feed will decrease noise. I have a gap of about 2" between my BMC and my cold air pipe, best of both worlds then, cold air and lots of noise.
