Fitted forge TIP today

fitted tip today and never again , not having any mechanical skills, fitting the tip was HELL, through out the install i seemed to only know 1 word and that began with F !!, ended up taking collent bottel off CAI off bending all pipe work back undoing heat sheild at back off AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH,2 Hours later and red and sore hands the TIP was fitted,

only concern is that even though i undid the screw to the water pipe and pulled it back it is still hard against the TIP, if i pull water pipe much more its going to snap ??? oh and the hose that goes on by the turbo GRRRRR had to leave it half on with no clip as that fell into engine somewhere and wasnt able to push it on any more ???

I replaced my Mk4 Golf Samco TIP with the Ibiza TIP from Forge today, I had to cut about 3/4" off the turbo end to get it to fit. Apart from that it went on without a problem (having said that I've fitted about 5 TIPs now lol).

They aren't the easiest of things to get n, just a tight space.
I have access to a lift 24/7 which helps alot

Yup, there was just no way I could get the pipe past the water lines and turned onto the turbo without cutting it down. Not sure if anyone else had to do this?

Yea, the fit of the DV, N75 and Oil breather are all in the correct locations and thus things fit much nicer with the Forge TIP. The poor fit of the Mk4 Samco always annoyed me.

Forge told me NOT to cut the turbo end down ?? but if you look at it then yes it could do with cutting down , allwell got mine on by having someone up top and me below ( yes im talking about the car ) and getting them to push and twist till it poped on the turbo

its just the water pipe is pushing on the TIP ?? alwell if it wares through ill just get another 1 and get forge to fit it

its a very tight squeeze, didnt notice any improvement fitting one, just more noise.

strange, cos now ive got NO DV noise at all ???? but pulls like a train so i guess its still working ok ??

I didn't cut mine, but it was handy being underneath the car otherwise i would have cut it.
