Having had my Ateca VZ2 for about a month I have been very impressive by the performance, but eager to try launch control. Problem has been wet weather and finding a safe and quiet place to try it out. This weekend my son and daughter were doing some skid control training at an old airfield, and what better place to find an unused runway for launching the Ateca?
If you haven't tried it, it is pretty startling. If you imagine normal kick down from a standing start and say that's an 8 out of 10 for acceleration, the experience of LC is a solid 11. Just, wow..!
I won't be doing it often! Has to be hard on the tyres and gearbox, plus not really public road friendly.
