first cambelt change (ibiza cupra T)

could anyone tell me at what mileage the cambelt should be changed on a 2001 (Y) cupra T 156 bhp? (first belt change).

Checked at 60k. Changed at 120.

But most people do it around the 60k mark to be safe.

And while your at it, you may aswell, change the water pump for one with metal impellors, its only 3 more bolts, and will save it all having to come off in the future when the plastic impellors break!

seat quoted me £411 for my cambelt and water pump to be changed yesterday thats the third different price the same garage has givin me in the last 4 weeks

yer i thought they was ripping me off i have got a friend who owns a local motorsport garage so he's going to do it for me using seat parts alot cheaper

Another way to keep a tab is they say do it every 5 years

I had mine done at 60,000 miles

My Seat garage want £237 to do the cambelt and if you want a service done as well it rises to £450!
