I've searched the Net, and found numerous websites, and info on how to determine if I have a boost leak. But none with any good idea's of how to locate the boost leak.

Some say to spray, soapy water and look for bubbles, others say to spray starter spray and listen to the engine.
Another mentions filling the system with smoke and looking for the smoke coming out of the system.

As far as i can see, i've checked all of the piping on the Ibiza's including the FMIC tubing and connections and I can see no leaks.

I'm gonna try to check the TIP tonight, but cant really see it being the problem, as all seems to be ok with that.

Does anyone have any suggestions or idea's, or can anyone highlight or point out any boost pipes / hoses, just so i can confirm that I have checked them.

Cheers

Personally i'd connect the N75 hose to an air compressor and blow down 15psi. As you dont have any oil breathers on your pipework you wont need to block any. Connect it up and listen for leaks.

Another question, have you checked all connections on the tip?

Yeah, but i'm gonna recheck them tonight Phil, I remember there being a problem with a 1st batch of TIP's, so will check it again.

Gonna double check its securely on the turbo too.

Read a few times now about your probs, read what you have checked but you never mention your actual dv itself?? you checked that?? (obvious i know, but sometimes you dont check things that are "too" obvious)

all connections airtight on your tip??

most leaks on vac and ic are easy to spot, others can be more of a biatch !

Hmm car seemed to boost ok this morning, then the EPC light came on. (First time thats come on during all problems.) After a while boost had gone again, and a minute or two later, EPC disappeared. Will double check the hoses shortly, as one may have come off.
