Finally!!

Well, after 10 weeks and a day, I finally have my Black Magic 20VT FR! Picked it up this afternoon and have been playing with it ever since. You were right Chris, it was definately worth the wait! But it would have been nice to get it as quickly as you did yours. And yes, I am also as paranoid as you were. Already had some nob in a bus try to drive into me. He got a few choice words. And i've already had some kids in town following me in a Corsa and overtake like dickheads. They got ignored.
Now I just have a daft grin on my face.

yeah nice one mate, glad you got it. Ive had mine a week now, and cant get enough of driving it. Nothing like when the turbo kicks in. Like you say tho, what is it with corsa's and punto's and stuff trying to race? they mustnt know its a 20vt hahaha. shocked a few of them this week lol. They never bothered me when i had a lowered, kitted 206
try and get some pics up mate, hope i can get to gti int. this year.
Still catches me unawares sometimes the car goin from 75 to 148 bhp!
i'm Still paranoid! seems like everyone wants to either race you, or crash into you! Nearly got took out on the motorway yesterday, when a wagon cut into another ibiza next to me, and he tried to get in my lane!!!! turbo got me out of trouble there though!

mate corsas n puntos get done by anything, my 1.2 beats puntos and corsa lol. but the ibiza is a wolf in sheeps clothing (especialy if u have rashes car lol)

very true, my 1.4 mk2 which is not as good as the 1.4 in the mk4 gives auite a few cars a run for its money

even gives the vtr a challenge to a point, and seems to handle just as good as well

i always get corsa's saxo and crap slow cars like that TRYING to race me and i never bother but if they do try and overtake me i drop it down a gear and cover them in stones and backfires

yeah thats what i mean, since i got the beezer, it's like a magnet for saxos and stuff. They just drop back though, once they've been stung. Especially in north manchester,crap corsa capital of the north.

Just read something, Jon, do you have a drawer under the drivers seat? there's definately something, but it dosn't look like it could come out? According to manual it should have, but can't figure it out. someone said they took it out for safety issues???

Just another quick question guys.
I've never had a new car before. How long to you think I need to "break it in"? Before I can properly have a play and see what it can do? Don't wanna risk it yet.

Chris:- There is some kind of thing under the drivers seat that looks like it could have been a drawer. Doesn't open though.

I was just wondering what's the cheapest you can buy one for.
I am kind of wishing I had bought an FR instead of the Dab.
I was offered one for £11,000.
I think Arnold Clark had them for £10,000 pre registered but they don't seem to have any now.
The only time I feel the Dab lacks power is on the motorway trying to pull up hills at anything over 70/80.
It might get better once there are a few more miles on it.
