i have been looking for an lcr for about 2 months now. Needed one at a certain price, and also fairly local, with warranty.

eventually, i found out about one that was coming in to a stealers on a px , which was a bout 20 miles away. perfect!

just had to wait about 4 weeks for it!!

well guess what..... today i picked her up!

and i am loving it!!!!!

was a bit sad leaving my old 02 plate pre facelift 180 cupra there, but i soon forgot about her when i got in the new one and drove it.

what can i say.....Lcr's are bleedin awesome.

as for mods.... first one on list is to remove the seven million bits of advertising the stealers have put on it for their showroom, i.e stickers , plate surrounds etc.

GOD I AM A HAPPY BOY!!!!:D

Nice one, looking good! Paul at Castlegate got it sorted in the end for you then? I'm sure I saw your LCR the other saturday when I popped my car back for a wheel change.......

Best colour but then again, I am biased!

Nah, should be in black. The first LCR I clamped eyes on was black!

Plus black cars just look sooooooooo much better IMO!

I suppose it depends on personal preference and all that..........I do think the new Leon looks mint in red, but then again, thats why I bought one......I think black looks fantastic when clean but keeping it that way is a nightmare.......

mrruss.
i think it was the one you saw on that saturday. I mentioned to paul that you got a new fr and he knew you straight away. i think i took the car for a test drive just after you had your wheel changed.

paul seems a top bloke.

picked car up today, and it was perfect. He had even put 3 brand new f1 tyres on for me aswell! the old ones were legal but would have needed replacing in about 3-4k miles, so he didnt have to do it.
also i asked him to make it go chirp when i locked it, he got that sorted no probs aswell.

well impressed!

just wish stealers didnt plaster your new car in seat stickers and number plate surrounds. just been out there and ripped em all off while supping a beer and marveling in her beauty............;)

I thought it was your LCR I saw parked next to the dealers! Iwas in Norwich that morning at 8.30 which was a bit of an early start from Bury on a Saturday!

I'm not surprised Paul remembered me, he probably knows me as the 'fussy git' who bought the FR from him!!

In all honesty, it doesn't surprise me that Paul sorted your tyres out.........he didn't have to point out the slight chip on my alloy but he did. That sort of service makes you want to go back again and buy from them again. He seems to be a rare breed amongst car dealers and someone who puts the customer first.

Glad you are pleased with the car, enjoy it and take care of it!

I know what you mean about the dealer adverts tho.......keep meaning to remove my number plate surrounds and rear window sticker but haven't got round to it yet........I suppose it won't do any harm to advertise for Castlegate for a while!
