Fiesta Protection Detail

A nice easy day yesterday. (06-11-08)

This car is only weeks old and was booked in for a Protection Detail.

As usual first up was to soak the car with a hyper foam.

Didn't get any photos of this stage as it was freezing cold and raining.

After the pre-foam and rinse the wheels and tyres were soaked with Bilberry Safe Wheel Cleaner.

This was then agitated with a brush.

Then left to soak for a few mins before being rinsed off.

I then sprayed the arches with Megs Super Degreaser and let this soak for a few mins.

Then rinsed.

Next up was to soak the lower sills with Autosmart Tardis and then buffed with a MF to remove any tar spots.

Now that this was complete we soaked the Engine Bay with Megs Super Degreaser and again agitated with a brush then left to soak for a few minutes before being rinsed off.

Sorry, no before photos but here are some afters. The bay was just a bit dusty before anyway.

The car was then given a good rinse again before being pulled in for the claying stage.

The paint finish was in really good condition for a change and was sporting very few contaminents.

This was the clay after the bonnet was done.

The car was then dried and the engine bay was dried using a leaf blower to remove any puddles lying around in the bay. This is also used around all the shuts to blow out any excess water.

We then moved onto the interior.

Just a quick clean and hoover followed by a dressing was all that was required.

The car was then given the full Zaino Protection treatment. No photo's here I'm afraid. Was against the clock.

The wheels were protected with Poorboys Wheel Sealant.

Sorry guy's,

I should have checked when I was finished to see if it was all good but had a bust afternoon.

Think they might be too big and will need to resize them and do it again.

Trouble is I prob won't manage this weekend as we are once again against the clock with a correction detail and I have to fit a wedding in tomorrow night also. Will see what I can do.

Sorry once again and I will update at first avaiable opertunity.

Lee.

The forum should resize them automaticly mate.

Really,

Thanks for letting me know that before I went and resized them all to find it made no difference.

Maybe it's more to do with the site they are stored on then.

I think they are displayed correctly in terms of the following code:-

Do you have any other suggestions.

I'm not the best on a comp I will be first to admit that much.

The image codes are right mate. Try using photobucket.com to upload the pics to then just copy the image code from there and past it in your thread on here.

Most people on here use photobucket as its so easy to use.

All working now Lee.

Superb job mate :D

Thanks for your help with regards to the photos,

I know what to do in the future now.

Thank you also for your kind words with regards to the job.

This was an unusual job and I have to give credit to Glenford in Forfar as they are one of the better dealers for preping a car before handing it over to a customer. The next write up is a full correction detail (with machine polishing) and is also a new car but with the paint work in a slight mess to say the least.

Should be up before the week end.

Great work Lee.
Which Zaino protection products did you use?
Thats a nice unit you have there. :)

Thank you Carr20vt,

Started out with Zaino AIO, onto Z-2 with ZFX, Z-5 and wiped down with Z-8.

We layered the Z-2 and Z-5.

We worked very hard on the unit to get it how we wanted it. We have 2 Identical detailing bays linked. Very happy with them both and using to full advantage. Always nice after the hard work to get a comment like you made and noticed the efforts.

Thanks again.

Lee.
