Hey im new :funk: im currently a biker from aberdeen and im looking into getting an Ibiza cupra 2.0 16v

I was wondering, is it possible to get rid of that "ugly" looking light bar in the middle of the boot, there isnt anything connected to that is there? or will a Mk3 boot replace that easily?

Is the Radio bay a single DIN size? as no where helps as i have a single din size dvd player in my house :funk:

And where can i find perforance parts online for the 2.0 16v? as no where seems to sell

light bar can be removed but it holds the number plate lamps so you'll need to add something to light ya plate up

or replace em with standard model black ones ?

standard 'DIN' radio hole so get it in there

depends on what ya after performance parts wise - 16v needs some serious work for any real gains but looking for VW and ABF parts will help

Hi, welcome :)
A few people have got rid of the 'bar'.. theres a couple of holes behind it ( fixing holes and wiring holes for the number plate lights etc), usually done the smooth boot type thing .
theres a few people too that have modified the console to accept duoble DIN stiff so a single DIN dvd player shouldn't be too much agg.

All depends what you want as for performance parts.

Take a browse around the 'search' facility and there should be plenty of help for you
:D

cheers guys good to know :)

will flip keys (for the newer models such as the HAA keys work on these ibizas? or is the key too big?

if not, how simple is it to replace the barrels? and would they be the same size?

cheers :)

there's a few threads about ref flip keys worth digging up

personally i found em heavy in the pocket and too big in the ignition really as i only use my key/immob seperately so i changed back as not my cup of tea

can be done though
