faulty clutch on ibiza 1.9tdi, 53 plate

Hi,

The clutch on my two and a half year car has failed at only 20,000 miles. No warning, sllipping, etc, just an almighty clunk and failure! Apparently this is wear and not covered by warranty. Not convinced myself as the plate has shattered!

Anyone had a similar experience?

has the clutch actually failed or just the pedal stuck on the floor? as the pedal on the floor is a common problem.

The clutch has failed. Worn on one side and shattered.

i would write a steaming letter to SEAT and mention moaning to watchdog about it, they should sort it out for you.
