hi

just scanned the car after recieving delivery of my cable and i've got 2 faults

17704 P1296 Cooling system malfunction
18010 P1602 Power Supply (B+) Terminal 30 Low Voltage
these are codes i've looked up on the forum,

Vag Com actually says this:
17704 - Error in Mapped Cooling System (usually temp Sensor or Thermostat)
P1296 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

The intermittent bit doesn't sound to bad, but how intermittent is it? could this error happened once or twice and never happened since? is there a way of finding out?

anyway i'm a newbie at all this so any advice appreciated in sort it
Cheers
Mark

anyone?

Is it a good idea to clear these codes, and then monitor it to see if they appear again ?

is that possible? is it easy to do

Thanks in advance!

I think you get the low voltage error if you disconnect the battery, may be some one can confirm this. I would make a note of them and then clear them and watch to see if they return.
