fault code p0011 (camshaft timing over advanced)

hi i got a seat leon cupra 2001 (r lookalike). fault code showed up last 3 weeks p0011 , camshaft timing overadvanced , took to the garage they they noting wrong with the camshft , u wud no if the cam was fault it would be making alll sorts of funny noises, the car still drives perfect , im lost can it be cam sensor some where mayb ?

I had this fault, a hour later it dropped 2 vavles n trashed my engine
