Fascia help

Ok ive done a search and cant find the answer.

Ive just removed the aura headunit and replaced with a kenwood. Ive got the facia adaptor, but when i put the facia adapter in, the little clip on plastic surround that comes with the stereo will now not clip to the stereo as the fascia adapter is in the way.

And the fascia is also loose, this kenwood doesnt hold it in place

silly question but is the facia adaptor the right way round, mine was swapped for a pioneer and fits perfectly.

When i changed the radio in my old Leon i had the same problem, with the facia adapter in the radio surround wouldnt fit, so i cut the long plastic bits off the top and the bottom of the surround to leave just the two end pieces. these just fitted in nice and tight and the radio surround fit in between them. hope this helps.

mine is a very tight fit ... maybe I should cut the top and bottom bits off

silly me

fitted the stereo first then tried to put the fascia on! no wonder i was confused. Took the cage out then put the fascia in then put the cage in

all fits snug
