Hi peeps. Ive recently fitted a ko3s and milltek DP & sports-cat to my ibiza cupra. It holds boost alot longer and higher up the rev range and sounds awesome. The problem is i only see the boost peaking at about 17psi whereas before it was peakin at just over 20psi. Is this normal or do i have a problem somewhere?

I did a few logs this morning which hopefully will shed some light on my problem...

Also the maximum reading im seeing from the maf on block 003 is 151g/s which seems a tad low to me, but i have always had low readings even after changing the maf for a new one. Im currently running revo stage 1 set at boost 6 timing 7.

Any help or opinions would be much appreciated!

Cheers ollie.

Boost leak. Your turbo is working real hard to get those numbers as well.

Thanks Phil. That was my first thought but ive just replaced all my vac hoses and checked all intercooler pipes for leaks. The only place i can think it may be leaking from is the little coupler hose that connects the charge pipe to the top of the turbo as ive got a silenced k03s, although i just replaced this with a silicone reducer from forge last week.

Anyy other suggestions guys?

Daz were you running stage 1 originally when you had your ko3's fitted? If so what boost were you seeing. Also whats your peak boost on stage 2 revo?

Cheers.

Would expect the duty to go 100% if there was a boost leak?

Not always. It should hit 100% or there abouts on WOT under load to build boost then tail off to meet requested. But that log is showing 95%'s all the way, which pretty much means a leak somewhere.

I had the same thing when my brake servo hose split and it was pissing out boost.

Yeah, I assume your still running 3Bar FPR being on Stage 1. You could be making problems for yourself there.
Could have fuelling issues, Get yourself a 4Bar FPR and stage 2 or custom map.

I think i will have to go and investigate for leaks yet agen then! lol
Yeh im still running 3bar stage 1 revo. Got the car booked in for the stage 2 upgrade with 4 bar regulator on friday afternoon. So this may be the reason for the low boost then, then ecu is pulling back due to the fueling?

Thanks agen guys for your suggestions.

I'm only hitting 16/17 PSI on REVO Stage 2 with K03s, FMIC, 4bar FPR, and Milltek Cat Back

Not sure what my problem is but I am replacing the braided hoses as they look in bad shape....

Will do some logs soon too...

If I solve my problem I'll let you know as they may be similar...

Kieran - Sorry fella, I dont know..

brake servo hose is just off to the left from your intake manifold, its just near your screenwash bottle, with a green nipple on it, inspect for cracks :)

Thanks Mike, sounds pretty similar to mine! I was wondering if the actuator had been tampered with?

And yeh your right, im running a forge fmic so i dont think its heat realated as my intake temps only peak at 37 degrees after a spirited drive. Also the most timing pull im seeing is 2-3 on block 020. Im just totally cafuffled on this one

Yeah me too, the guys at Vagtech have my car at mo to do turbo seals, I've asked them to have a quick nosey around, when i get it back i'll be doing the N249 bypass with silicon hosing, incase those braided ones are split...

Flash and I checked my actuator and it seems in right position.. so...

Ive just replaced all my vac hoses with 3mm silicone hose from forge so i dont think its that. Im hoping the stage 2 remap will sort things out although im in doubt lol. If that doesnt resolve it then im lost for ideas.

Let me know how you get on with yours though.....
