bump, logs to follow.

I have fitted the SMIC, felt worse! was pulling the same maf figures with smic and original piping, FMIC back on now, pulls harder with it.

Could the maf readings be different as i dont have revo? maybe the way its mapped it doesnt need 160, its happy with 146? i also have a stock downpipe/cat (cheers wayne) so if i can kinda confirm the zorst is at fault, ill fit it 2moro.

Certainly very hot above the turbo area for ages after switching off. head is untouchable for ages too!

So i suppose my question is,

maybe im expecting too much from it? dont get me wrong its quick, but low RR, fact i cant pull on k03 cars with SMIC etc, and my low maf readings im assuming something is wrong.

:)

basically spec for spec - mikes ibiza has more power....

I think the timing map ain't right - hence those 'big' CR's we've seen last weekend (would have been very high had it not been so cold & the IC soaked!)

I think that needs winding back, then the ECu won't pull everything else back

15g/s is about 10% so ~20bhp (very rough numbers)

ok ive noticed that if i give it a good run about 5 mins after starting (once oil is up to temp) it pulls like a horse, if i try it after about 10 mins it pulls back in the CF's, i saw 1.8 CF max on the first run. now i see 4.5

Surely cant be to do iwht heat, will a retard of timing solve this? or wind back the actuator? not touched that yet

that is when it was **** mate, ill try and get one when it was good :)

bill: i always wait for the car to be off choke before setting off, e.g. wait for revs to settle to normal, oil was about 180f when it felt quick, anything after than feels bogged down.

emailed them to you martyn.

Funny thing is, the IC was cooler on the later runs which felt slower to me. :(

Could it come back to the CAT again? warming up? i have one here to test

Above is the plot of the logs you e-mailed me dude. I've always been told that if you're car is 'happy' the 3 loads should more or less match like below...

main.php

It looks to me that the car is winding back the load due to the CFs or a build up of heat somewhere along the lines.

so should i adjust the actuator and see if that does anything?> back to the mark where it used to be :) another log will be on its way to you shortly, felt quick in that one. also did a CF log for you.
