Failed MOT need advise

I failed my MOT today on my 04 LCR

It failed on emissions, the results where


FAST IDLE
CO: 1.174 MAX 0.3 FAIL
HC: 106 MAX 200 PASS
LAMBDA: 0.972 0.970-1.030 PASS

2ND FAST IDLE
CO: 0.817 MAX 0.3 FAIL
HC: 151 MAX 200 PASS
LAMBDA: 0.971 0.970-1.030 PASS

NATURAL IDLE

CO: 0.964 MAX 0.5 FAIL


Now im not sure what the problem is the car is tuningwise standard with a stage 1 Revo Map.

Any advise would be appriecated as need to fix this asap.

Is it the Mapping?

Hello ape fella, the mapping was done by JKM in portsmouth and High CO readings do suggest a rich mixture, but i have no way of checking this do i?

I guess the only way to check is to get the standard map back on and do an emissions check. Unless there's a way of determining it through VAG COM?

Well it was going well until someone went into the back of me on the way to the MOT and then picking it up to find its failed kinda made it a perfect day.

are you running v power becouse that can corse the co to be high

Its running on Tecos 99 SUL

any high octane fuel will push the co up

No point in doing that - the sniffer confirms a slightly lean side of mixture.

I will put my money on a) spark plugs b) air filter

Change that & all will be well.
