Quick one for people who have the dynamic factory fit Sat Nav...

Have you updated it in any way? I have the 2003 CD with mine and was thinking of getting a new one. Maps are getting a bit out of date. What's the best place to get one?

Seen a few on EGay at silly prices, either ridiculously cheap or expensive. Presume some are knocked off or copies.

Also the newer discs have pictures on the box that look 3D, a bit more like Tom Tom stuff. Would a 2006 disc suddenly make my sat nave 3D? Would be cool!!!!!

From what I understand, the sat nav does not have the capability to do the 3D type view. I have the 2005 disks in a late 2005 car and that is not 3D.

I had a 2003 CD, bought a 2005 CD off Ebay for £40 (original), sold the 2003 CD on ebay for £25 odd. :) Job done.

2005 provides postcode searching which is useful as well.

Question Matt - have you got the DX version or the older non DX (like mine).
I've not heard of anyone with a DX seat sat nav....and the disks aren't cross compatible. That's a major problem because most VW sat navs are DX.

Not sure - it's the one that's supposed to re-direct out around traffic problems
(it's broadcast as data on RDS when it does TA, not that any UK radio stations use it. Classic FM is about it)
Anyhow, it says 'DX' on the CD.

Mine stores traffic messages but i've never noticed it actively divert me due to traffic

I thought all the Leon ones were DX (I might be wrong though). It should say SEAT Dynamic Navigation System on the front.

You need the DX+TMC disc to do the traffic jam avoidance and I think it uses another module for the TMC??

The TMC discs are much more expensive though. About £160 new and every time Ive seen a second hand one on Ebay, they've always been £90+ - Ive never seen it in use though, so dont know if its any good.

Isn't the TMC part included in the DX version, but is a separate bit in the older type.

It's the eqivalent to the MFD-A and MFD-D or G in VW world I think.

Anhow, mine just says Seat Navigation System, no dynamic about it....could really do with a new disk, mine is convinced the M6 toll isn't there as well.
