Facelift my leon. GRP any good?

Hello all,

I want to make my 02 LC look like the face-lifted LC.

I've had a look on ebay and someone is selling an after market GRP front and rear bumpers for 140 quid each. What do you think the quality of these is likely to be?

While I'm not totally adverse to paying for OEM ones, I'd really like to save some money to put towards a remap. So in an ideal world I'd happily buy second hand OEM ones, but these seem to be few and far between.

if you look at his feedback, the people who have purchased the leon cupra r bumpers from him have been pleased. im going to get a pair, ok, if they are crap i will have wasted my money to a certain extent, but if they are ok then i can be happy, and as you said, save towards some more bits

I contacted a bloke who bought some, but he said they were for his mate's Clio (?!) so no details on the fitting but he did say the quality was good.

I'm slightly concerned the GRP will smash to a thousand pieces if a stone should hit them, or a rabbit (long story )

ok no problem. Basically, you can get the pair for £310 inc postage (he offers discount on postage if purchase both) plus you will need to get the grills and the bits to fit the bumpers.
