Facelift and Pre-facelift

Right, ive just had a read through the post about angel eyes.

I'll be honest, i dont have a lot of knowledge about Seats. I normally stick with Vauxhalls.

Anyway, i was aware that the bumpers are different on newer model but was unaware that the lights and wings are too.

You see, i have an N plate with im guessing is pre-facelift as it has the horrible bumper which arent all smooth.

I was planning on just buying some new model bumpers, getting them sprayed and then fitted.

Is it not as simply as this?

Any difference to the back of the car as well or would the rear bumper fit straight on?

I had a Mk2 'M' reg.. (pre facelift) i fitted a Cupra bumper on the rear ..(off a 98 ' i believe) and fitted a 'Face-lift' front bumper. fettled it slightly to get it fitting snugly, but not a difficult job

95 bumpers are nice not that im biased but all the ibiza's i see these days have the girly smooth ones

I changed mine from the 95' pre-facelift to the Facelight bumpers, I had to change the brackets for the rear bumper but that was it.

Mines a late spec pre facelift gti. Its got the front bumper brummys has but fitted in the factory along with a slightly different rear bumper to the facelift. Theres an option for you i suppose

What is slightly different about your rear bumper jenk? Car looks nice by the way, im guessing it isnt that low in real life, photoshop?

These brackets you talk of? Where cn i get these from? Seat dealership?

Also, Brummy, what alterations(sp) did yu have to make to get the front to fit?

Its got a bit more detail to it, not as smooth as the facelift bumper. Looks good in my opinion. my car does have slightly different wings i think, it dosnt seem to have the lower colour coded metal parts.
