Exterior Temperature Sensor!!

Well hello people. Basically...can anyone instruct me on how to fit an exterior temperature sensor? Some muppet fitted M3 Mirrors to my ibiza and i was wondering can i replace the temp sensor from the mirror if i can pick one up? Shurley i can configure it into the mirror somehow or elsewhere. Can anyone help? I duno what im looking for etc. Merci!

the plug for it is inside the door,take the door card off,feed it through to the mirror drill a hole so the sensor pokes out of the base of the mirror ,glue it into place connect it up job done!

Hey ppl, have a similar Q, recently picked up a replacement passenger mirror unit with temp sensor for my car. As mentioned in the above post, will the door have to be removed to install the mirror unit? and where exactly does the end of the temp sensor cable plug into?
