Extended Warranty

My 62 plate Ibiza FR ST is 3 years old next month. I was thinking of buying a SEAT extended warranty for another year via the SEAT website but there isn't an awful lot of detail about the warranty there. Does anyone have this warranty and is it worth it? Is it a 3rd party warranty or through SEAT UK?

Thanks!

I actually got the email from SEAT this afternoon about the extended warranty as my Toledo is coming up to three years so would also like to know the above. The full cover comes out at just over £200. That doesn't seem bad to me but I stand to be corrected.

It looks like SEAT have updated their website since the weekend there is loads more information there now and a policy booklet to download. The difference between limited cover and full cover is only about £20. It is underwritten by VAG too. I like the idea of a no hassle warranty which the dealer will honour 'in house' so i think I'll go for it at £200. Its worth reading through the exclusions though - the stereo isn't covered for example or the usual wear and tear items.

I've not had a thing go wrong or any warranty work with my Ibiza in the last 3 years it has been brilliant - I hope I don't need the extended warranty but I don't want to risk any big bills.

My avatar shows my previous Ibiza Cupra which did go wrong in a big way....a new engine at 20k miles due to the oil usage. I fell out of love with it after that it never felt like the same car. I can't imagine the cost of that out of warranty!
