Ive noticed people on here dont go for straigth through systems and completely remove the cat. How come ? i know its illegal and you need it for MOT's but dont any of these companys do a cat by pass system so that you can bolt on and bolt off for MOT's ?????;)

Do a quick search, i'm sure this has been covered before.

I don't think a decat does much for performance, i can't really help you any more than that.

it not cos of mots...its cos the car will **** itself unless its been told the cats not there! (remapped accordingly)

the supersprint system which many ppl have is a straight through centre section

also the cat is built as part of the downpipe...so not so interchangable as u'd like

I ran a de-cat with my straight though Supersprint system for a few months but always had the engine management light on. The performance was noticeably increased but as the above post says when it comes to MOT it's a pig to change back. I'd stick with a high flow cat mate

so the cat is part of the down pipe ! i understand. well if people are still making good power increases with the cat then i guess i'll have to do that. How do people bypass with cat back systems then if the Lamba sensers are at the front ???? sorry if im being a nucience but im just trying to learn as much as i can about these cars cos im gonna need to start modifying mine soon.;)

did the car run fine even tho the engine managment light was on ? cos theres ways to bypass it, and ive got a few friendly MOT garages i know.;)

It ran OK, quicker than with a cat, all be it louder with one hell of a whistle. No doubt it would have ran better with stage 2 software which masks the fault.

If you do go for one don't get a Supersprint, they're designed for LHD cars and as such are a REALLY tight fit. With a bit of tinkering and welding it would fit OK but got rid now. Go for Miltek or something.

Other people have extended the lambda port/housing so that the sensor is oout of the main flow thus reducing the reading and not triggering the fault.

I see, i had a supersprint system on my Punto Gt and i was amazed by the quality and first time fit. I think im gonna go for this Jabba custom map and im gonna go for a Garrett T28 (roller Bearing)

It's only the Downpipe that's a poor fit. My Supersprint system fits brilliantly and, as you said, the build quality is awesome.
