Exhaust trim...

hi, just wondering what size exhaust trim i need for my altea 1.9tdi. i need a diameter, just wondering if anyone knew the diameter? also anyone know of any good places to get trim from? i dont want to spend much and all i want s a straight fit one, with rolled edge!

I've just put on a simple chrome exhaust trim from Halfords. £8.99. 54mm diameter.
It is a very tight fit. I had to clean the exhaust with wire wall; lubricate exhaust and trim with fairly liquid and use a mallet persuader (not too hard though!)
No cutting and it does not stick out beyond the body.

looking good mate! ive tried fitting the 54mm one this weekend but its very tight! trying to hammer it in, but its denting it! so will try next time the altea is home!

Hi we bought a genuine oval one from seat for our reference sport 1.9 TDI ... not cheap £50 but looks great had to cut 90mm off the original pipe tho and loctited the screws in... its a seat sport one made by remus so good quality and heavy and don't look out of place as the rear apron already has the cut out for the twin pipes on the higher spec models
