Exhaust system i need your help!

Good morning party people,

I need your help. I have only had my Ibiza Cupra for 3 weeks now, i bought it from a dealer (not a seat dealer). Now on wednesday i was driving when i heard a strange sucking sound from under the car, once i stopped i could see that it was blowing, and blowing bad. Took it into my trusted garage and raised it up. To my shock horror , the pipe going onto the cat, or might have been the cat itself, has been welded and half the weld has come off, the back box itself is wanked, fulling apart with a massive crack in the pipe to the back box...... im gutted. Now the cheapest my garage could get the parts , was 355 for the cat and 290 for the back box. Now i might has well get a sports performance system for that.

I have looked around at Milltek exhaust, whats the best place to get them from, they seem to be the best ones to buy?
on http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/milltek/milltekseat.html, the cat is 360 and the rest of the system is 262.

Anyone know of any other places they could advise?

Im going to be calling trading standards over this deal, i have looked at the buying goods rights, and under ''of satisfactory quality'' it says:

This means the goods must meet the standards that any reasonable person would expect, taking into account the description, the price and all other relevant information. In some circumstances, the retailer may be liable for any statement made by the manufacturer about the goods.Satisfactory quality includes the appearance and finish of the goods, their safety and durability and whether they are free from defects (including minor faults)

So i think i have a case.

Any help would be ace! wish me luck!

Contact the garage where you bought it first ans see if they will rectify the fault before getting onto trading standards as Ive had this before and before they can take any action you need to give the dealer the chance to rectify the fault !!
