Hi, i am having a lot of problems with my manifold gasket splitting and causing the car to blow, it is really starting to do my head in, i am wandering if anyone has come accross this before? the garage that keeps fixing it says that it is getting to warm and it cant cope, any ideas?

Not sure, but heat wrap around the manifold? Hot gas travels faster so might help clear the area......just a thought!

The car still has a standard manifold which isnt wrapped the point which is going is between the manifold and the turbo the gasket between this keeps splitting, i am going to try fit a new manifold with some kind of uprated gasket and hope this will solve it plus the new manifold should give me more power if i buy a decent one, seems like a good idea,

Thanks, for your help guys still open to suggestions!

Surely heat wrap will contain the heat to the manifold, making it hotter still?

Yeah, I know what you are saying. Was just think if the gasses are moving faster, they will not soak so much into the surrounding area.

Well that was theory anyway, but in practice I think you are right Rob!
