Exhaust manifold ideas.

Afternoon all. As rain has stopped garden work . I thought I would ask a question.. I am wanting a exhaust manifold for the stroker. I want a tubular set uo with 1 5 inch tubeing and to take a garret g30 v band. I ordered 1 in January but am still waiting. Been told they are struggling with getting cast collectors.
So I asked if I could borrow a flange that bolts to the head. One they would use to make the exhaust with.
So I can send this to the bloke who is going to build the head. So he can port Match to the exhaust. I asked this as I need the manifold but want to get the head sorted and cams etc. I messaged early April... no reply.. called and was told he will call you back...... nothing... another message threw thier web site early may.... again nothing. I called again funnily enough he was busy and couldn't talk... I explained what I needed to borrow and why to the person on the phone. I then got an email 5 days later.....

What's people thoughts.. they have has 1200 quid of my money for over 6 months now and don't seam willing to help..
Advice and ideas welcome .

Well I'm far from an expert in either topic here, but it defo sounds like they are fobbing you off I hate to see this as you have paid a fair chunk out. If you have paid by credit card then you have protection through that and will need to contact them don't know if the time it's been will effect this, maybe citizens advice can help on what channels are your options such as small claims court etc but don't bad mouth or slander this bloke deserves it by sound of things as he could counter your claim any sort of defamation against his name or business.
In terms of help, what about speaking to Badger5 maybe he can make or suggest someone who will complete the job, everyone seems to rate this guy.
As said no expert but hopefully get this sorted hate when people take advantage of people it's not like you are paying small cash.

Thing is they offered money back. Sorry I thought I put that I... I no it's OK I can wait buy I need to borrow 1 of the flanges to get it to progress with the build. They know they can have it back etc..
This isn't a little 1 man band either this is a well known. Company in the vag playground.
As for badger 5 from what I have heard he is very good. But he didn't want to talk to me when I was asking questions befor about building a race car.. and now the spec I I am going to and the class I plan on racing in... he already builds for some one in that class who praises badger 5 . So I don't feel I would get 1st class help I would be paying for if that makes sence. So not even going in to that position .

This is a headache for sure, feel for you, that can be the problem with big companies that they have power over you. You would think they would be able to help you out so that the build can progress as said they can have it back you just need a sort of template. I get what your saying about Badger5. I honestly don't know what to suggest as your well into this project and everything seems very custom which is time and money at any stage, hope it gets resolved or someone on here knows a solution to get it moving again. Good luck with this and the rest of this build.

In the end. I waited nearly 8 months. Thought that's enough.. I asked for the refund they offered... still waiting for that now.. it's been nearly another month
