I have a full TB Miltek Non-Res and mine does this too.

Mine only does it with the ESP on.
Have you tried it with ESP off?

I'm at AMD tomorrow and will ask about it then.

If your experiencing this only with the ESP on, then chances are that it is not the exhaust. i can here it happen on my Cupra too, and its not only on gear changes. Mine does it through first through third gear since our roads are slick here. Whats happening is the ESP is obviously sensing wheel slip and it cutting the throttle automatically to regain traction, then it returns throttle. This is probably making the popping sound

Yes I think in my case this is probably correct, but I will ask tomorrow in any case

m8 , if your car is doing this then i suggest you get it into your main dealer and ask them to perform a compression test on each cylinder.
if you read my posts you will see it happened to me which ended up with a new cylinder head , had the car back a week and its gone back again for the very symptoms you have described.

Guys.. If it sounds like a big bang when the ESP light flashes, it's not your exhaust - but the ECU that causes a misfire in the engine to stop the wheels from spinning.

Try turning off the ESP. If this stops the "bangs" - your safe.
I have the JE Design exhaust on together with a full 3" pipe from the Turbo. This sounds like someone is shooting when the wheels start spinning ;) Sounds Awesome!

It sounds a lot higher with an aftermarket exhaust on because they flow better..
Also you can hear it alot easier if the car is tuned )

To be honest I think that popping may be something more to do with traction control.
Traction Control / ESP = the same thing ;)
If you turn the ESP button off (well - turning ON the light), the wheels will spin freely, also when you'r on ice.. If the ESP is ON (light off), you can't spin the wheels very much before the pop'ing sound starts )

So yes, it's the traction control system (esp) that makes this sound.
Ill try to film this in the weekend, if it's not snowing :)
