Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor & N75 issue

Hi guys

I have done a search on this, found some answers to what i was going to ask but the main question is still unresolved.

I had my car scanned for faults earlier today and one thing flagged initially was Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor - Closed Circuit, I take it this means I need a new EGT sensor or is there more to it than that.

Also prior to having my map, I was getting some quite bad surging to the extent it would go to 20psi, it would never hold here just surge, boost was held around 10. This has now been overcome I'm hoping but Will at P-Torque noticed some irratic readings from the N75 just prior to loading the map and he has tweeked something to do with this manally to an extent rectify it but told me to keep an eye on my boost gauge to make sure boost isn't going to high (now boosts to 24/25ish/not actual sure what it holds at yet, haven't thought to look). Wihout seeing logs i know it's hard to say but would you say there could be an issue here more than likely. Oh and is the standard Cupra R n75 the 'F' verson

Any help or advice from someone in the know is appreciated on either subject, thanks in advance ;)

sounds similar to the problem I had with mine; check the pipe from the n75 to the wastegate; mine was split causing the overboost; leading to excess exhaust temps - worth checking :)

well from feeling the said pipe there doesn't appear to be a split, probably best to take it off to see but that will have to be another day. Anymore suggestions or help welcomed.

Anyone actually replaced the EGT sensor, i've read about people but only a few with possible problems but haven't read that anyone has swapped it. I'm concerned i could be potentially putting certain expensive parts at risk not changing it!?
