I am planning to fit a cat back exhaust system soon with two oval exits at the back. The problem is, my car has a towing eye on the back right where one of the exhaust tips is expected to come out like so:

Does anyone have an idea (aside from just getting a single exit) around this? Is the towing eye easy to remove or if I got a new deeper LCR bumper would the exhaust sit underneath the towing eye?

Tbh I'm wondering whether the twin exit idea is even worth it, I might just get a single oval cat back system instead.

Does anyone know if Golf mk4 1.8t exhaust systems are the same as Leon 1.8t mk1s?

Thanks
Dan

The towing eye should be welded to the chassis, you might need a grinder to get rid of it.

I'd stick with a single exit tbh.

And get rid of those haemorrhoid lights ;) :p

Do like the colour of your car.

The towing eye is the least of your worries.
The spare wheel, petrol tank and rear beam are going to be your biggest problem.
Alot of hastle for little or no gains

Dave aka DPJ has twin exit exhausts iirc. Maybe ask him for his advice.
