Excesive road noise

I have had my car (Seat Leon reference sport with the touring car kit) for 12 months, it runs on 18 inch seat rims. Since purchasing the car the road noise has developed dramaticaly coming from the rear of the car. I have also noticed uneven tyre wear on the inside of the rear tyres. Has anyone else experienced any such like prolems? If so, what have u done to overcome this?

Speak to your dealer I believe from talking to my dealer that there was a technical bulletin regarding rear wheel alignment on Leons with a certain VIN number range..

Thanks, does this mean then that not all Leon suffer from this and the problem can be rectified...

hi ive got a tdi btcc ref sport 2006 too and yes the noise from the road is really bad especially on the motorway have now up graded to 19" alloys and khumo tyres much quieter and better road manners cheers chris

Hi - I have just got my car back from the service and they mentioned the same thing - Does anyone know the VIN range it affect ?

I want SEAT to sort this one out ...

Also I spoke to a guy at SEAT customer services and he reckons that they recalled all the affected models and that the warranty would not cover it but I had to point out to him at this stage it is impossible to have recalled all the vehicles.

I await the response from the dealer...
