Don't bother with it - mine's switched off most of the time... Gets in the way under spirited driving!! Sidewall flex under hard cornering is enough to make it think the car's skidding, when in fact it isn't, so it applies the brakes then UNsettling the car!!

thats TSC isnt it?
Not sure if even Bill's Ibiza will be able to spin the wheels enough at 130+ to call up the TCS...

TCS and ESP wrk off the same button. I've had the ESP light flashing when the system's meant to be off at speeds a lot slower than 130 as well...

Nope, 2 buttons, 1 for fuel, 1 labelled "esp". The esp button switches the esp program to the so-called "off", and also switches off the traction control. same warning light on the dash for both.

Scotty, if you have Esp the TCS button says Esp instead.

As for ESP itself, im still unsure about it. I ordered it on mine for two reasons.
1. I managed to spin my car 180 in a country lane a year ago and felt that maybe im not as great as i thought i was

2. THe LCR had it as standard.

Now then, When i first got the car, the way i was driving i didn't even get the light to flash once and therefor if you are a pretty safe driver then it would be handy to have just in case it was seriusly needed. Now that i have been driving the Cupra for a while it comes into effect on a daily basis. I believe its already stopped me once making a fool out of myself.

The biggest problem with it is pulling out. When you try to get out of a side road quick the esp/TCS kicks in and cuts power to the engine making it slightly imbarrassing sometimes. Now when i need to do that i turn it off for that and turn it back on again.

Also Ive heard that if you turn off the ESP and you have a crash the insurance will not pay out. Could possibly be the same with TCS.

I still unsure about it but unless it saves you life you wont ever be able to justify it.

When I went on the driving day at Silverstone the instructor said the ESP(or whatever its called in Audi's) is turned off but its not actually ever fully off, if you get into serious trouble it will kick in and do something.

Same here. Does anyone know if replacement dog bone mount/bushes help with this at all?
