...and I bet m0rk and Stu will be loving the fact I've got yet another MK4! :p

My mum's had her PD160 from new and she's decided to go for a 2 seater now I've moved out. We managed to get a good deal on an ex demo MX-5 2.0 Sport but the dealer was only offering £8500 for a mint car with 8500 miles on the clock. So I decided to buy it for that. Well, for that price, and the history, you can't say no!

I'll pick it up on Sunday and garage the MK2. I've got a few bits to sort on that before I can part company with it. I've driven the Cupra enough over the years not to be too excited, I'm more excited about the MX-5 as its really really good to drive. I'm just gonna be glad to have a car with warranty again! :)

stoneyfordNI, yes it is, and I'm getting the SPS1 too! :D I will keep it off most of the time to save the clutch as my work commute is stop-start, but if I go for a long run, I'll switch it on! :D

Chillcupra, yes it was, but it smokes a fair bit now so I feel it may need an update. I'll speak to Kev and see if there is one.

Jase, I'll ask her tomorrow, I have a feeling she'll say "stalker" though! :p

I suppose it depends on what you are part exchanging it for. Tom's mum was getting a 'good deal' on an ex dem MX5 so I suppose a Mazda dealer is not going to offer a great price for the SEAT.

Anyway it sounds as if Tom has got himself a bargain.:)

Thanks for the good comments!

If a dealer is offering £9k for a 40k Cupra, they obviously can't read a Glass's guide and you should snap their arm off. I can read, and I checked it out before I went shopping! This car is on its original tyres and brakes and dealers take this into account when valuing. If they're new, they'll up the value. Besides, this dealer only sells Mazdas, all non Mazdas get put in the trade, no matter how good they are.

Yeah, I know I have ANOTHER one. You know what, I wouldn't have bought it or another Ibiza again, but my budget doesn't extend to a A3. And Ian, I'm not even paying for it yet, and you need to let this ring thing go, because believe me, I still want to go and I'm still mega pissed at my mate for pulling out.
