Engine Trouble!!!

Hi

I'm having a big problem with my (1.9 turbo diesel) car. When i hit 4k - 5k revs in 3rd or 4th there's a noticable drop in pulling power. I've recked the whole engine head b4 and had the whole thing rebuilt and was thinkg that one of the intakes might be sticking. I've used the standard cleaner that you put in as fuel mix to clean the head but it hasn't worked... Please help ... Oh and my emobilizer keeps dying on me, sometimes thinks it being stolen so it cuts fuel to the engine, i was thinking of getting a new one any suggestions and will this solve my problems?

4-5k on a TDi will be getting close to the redline, so you will have probably gone past the point of peak power, hence why you are seeing a drop off in power.....

as for the immobiliser problem, do the dash lights/display go blank at the same time? if so try a new ECU control relay.... had it go in my 1.6 and replaced it, job done

The revs go all the way to 8k, the drop isn't a point where the engine has reach its max, the vehicle actually slows down considerably, i have to drop it bvack a gear to get back the speed. .. It wont even touch 100MPH anymore!.. The lights on the dash come on fine and everything is good.. My cousin discovered that if you shake the immobilzer fuse thing under the dash while tryin to start it, when its acting up, the ignition will just kick in!! how much are ECU's for my type of SEAT?

8k in a TDi...... doesn't sound right to me !!

anyone else, or is it just me ?!?
