Engine temp light

Hi All, I'm new to the forum got a leon 1.6 05 plate and have had a problem the last couple of days, I start the car up and the coolant temp light alarms and continues to until I turn of the engine and then restart the engine. temp guage is showing fine any body else had this problem. thanks in advance

Yeah i did. all you got to do is take off the expansion tank cap and get a screwdriver and clean the two prongs in there!!! as they are probably corroded a bit. simple as that and a two minute job!!!

search for three 3 beeps
oil temp light and you'll be surprised

by end of next will probably be 60 threads on this as that time of year when everybody asks

do the clean as recommended and you'll be fine
