Engine Oil Temperature

Hello there, i got my Seat Leon FR 184 2.0 TDI 2 weeks ago. Since then i struggle with a fact that my engine oil gets to high temperatures. I drive in about 130-170 km/h and my oil normally gets to around 115-120 C.I also tuned my car to 214 hp, but the same problem was there before. Is this normal or what could it be the problem? I finished maintenance recently.

Thank you for your responses.

My 184 is normally around 100-105 from memory. Probably 105-110 when DPF regens.
Our EA288 TDI engines have an electro-mechanical main coolant pump - the shroud which moves in and out to vary flow can get stiff/seize - so maybe your has stuck partially closed so you're not getting full coolant flow?
Have you checked for fault codes?

My 184 sits at 100 degrees on the motorway. You have to drive the car quite hard to get it nearer 110. The other thing is low oil - mine runs a bit hotter if my oil is low. Your temp is certainly too high.

If your coolant pump is having issues, you may also have a higher coolant temp. Your car will not give you an accurate reading (it will say 90 all the time) - if you get Carista or another app, you can monitor your real coolant levels. When the shroud/widget on my car failed I had it changed for one without it.

Something is certainly not right.

My memory must be a bit foggy - as on the drive home last night on my 25mile commute my oil temps were 93-95!
